Freshwater Phil custom tied Carp rig

Tired of hearing about all sorts of complicated rigs for carp fishing? This rig has caught hundreds of big carp since I started using it in 2006. You can check out some of the monster "big suckers" by clicking here.

Freshwater Phil custom tied carp rigs use ultra sharp #2 bait holder hooks, perfect for threading with your favorite carp bait, such as corn, boilies, French fries or worms, your choice of 30 LB Fireline in black smoke cooler, ot 80 LB Fireline XDS in dark green smoke color, and a snap swivel for quick and easy attaching to your swivel.

Order your Freshwater Phil custom tied bass rig available in 1', 1.5' or 2' lengths, free shipping to the continental US and Canada.

Instructions: 1) Slide 1 - 1.5 OZ egg sinker on to your main line (lighter sinkers are best if possible).
2) Attach a swivel to you mainline.
3) Clip the Freshwater Phil carp rig to your swivel using the snap.
4) Bait line by threading corn niblets, boilies, cut up fries or worms. (Be sure to cover the entire hook unless using boilies).
5) For best results, chum the area you are fishing with corn niblets throughout the day.
6) Keep reel drag / baitrunner extremely loose until the fish runs with the bait, then tighten drag and set hook.
7) When you land the fish, stop reeling before your sinker / swivel hits your rod tip to avoid damaging it and / or losing the fish.

General Instructions:
Store rigs in original bags when not in use.
Sinkers and main line swivels or snaps are not included with any rigs.
If you plan to live release, crimping your barb will increase the odds of your fish surviving, but slightly decrease the chance of landing the fish.
