Fishing trips at the top fishing outfitters in Quebec recommended by Freshwater Phil. Take a fishing vacation and catch the fish of your dreams, trout, walleye, bass, pike. For people crazy about fishing such as myself, nothing better than taking a fishing trip for a few days. Getting away from it all to focus on catching fish from morning to night is something I look forward to all year long. Every summer, I take at least one week off and head out for a family fishing vacation, usually staying at an outfitter. The province of Quebec has about 350 - 400 outfitters recognized by the Quebec oufitters federation- FPQ (Federation des pourvoiries du Quebec). These outfitters range from small to big, some have exclusive fishing and hunting rights to their territory, other share public land and lakes with other outfitters. They are spread out over various regions of the province. The vast majority offer fishing in addition to hunting, and other outdoor activities. They all offer boat rentals and lodging, some with food (American plan) others without food (European plan), many offer both. Many offer local guides to assist in fishing excursions and hunts as well. Basically, if you're looking for an outdoor getaway which includes great fishing or hunting in a pristine environment, choosing a good outfitter is the way to go. As with anything else, referrals from satisfied customers are a good way to ensure a successful trip. Last thing you need is to show up to a place below your standards, or even worse, one that has mediocre fishing. I’ve been to a number of places for different species, and based on my experiences, I can recommend outfitters best suited to your needs. Here are my favorite few over the peast few years, if you’re interested in more information on any of the spots, click on the links or logos below, or contact me by clicking here , with the dates, species you’re interested in (bass, walleye, trout, pike) and the number people coming along. |
