Freshwater Phil's shore fishing spots

I put together the fishing for charity bounty program with the goal of giving a bit more meaning to my favorite pastime.

The idea is simple. The various species that I catch (listed below), will have suggested bounties associated with each species, as well as premiums for trophy size fish in selected categories.

At the end of each calendar month, a pdf document with the month’s results and total suggested pledges will be sent by email.

Anyone willing to participate will be able to send payment to any charity of their choosing, and/or the suggested charity detailed in the document (tax deductible receipts (in Canada) will be issued for all donations upon request).

Suggested bounty for standard catches, listed by species:

Panfish = $2 each (economy $1). Includes perch, sunfish, crappie, rock bass, etc.

Rough fish = $5 each (economy $2). Includes carp, catfish, suckers, tench, gar, bowfin, ling, etc.

Sport fish = $5 each (economy $2). Includes bass, pike, walleye, trout, char, sturgeon, etc.

Suggested premium bounty for all trophy fish is $26 each (economy $10).

Trophy fish are defined as follows:

Bass 20 inches or over.
Pike 36 inches or over.
Walleye 28 inches or over.
Trout 26 inches or over.
Sturgeon 55 inches or over.
Carp 25 lbs or over.
Any salmon.
Any musky.
Any mirror carp.

Suggested premium bounty for saltwater or exotic species to be determined.

The monthly pdf document will include payment and mailing instructions.

Sign up to receive the monthly pdf by clicking here. Hoping this will take off nicely and provided much needed help to the participating causes. Thank you in advance to all participants and donors.

The monthly bounties are mere suggestions, there is no obligation to send any payments. Participation is fully voluntary by any participants.
